Kwangmin smiled softly, “I would love to. Go easy on me alright? I’m an old man.” As they chuckled, Kwangmin fished twenty dollars from his wallet and handed it to the man running the game. Both boys sat; with Kiseop to the left of him and another player to the right Kwangmin began to feel pressure. It was game pressure. The angel never played games like this. Once he sat down he had to analyze  the game so he knew what he was doing. The water gun felt clumsy in his hands. The trigger was lax so he guessed the man had to press something to make it start. Kwangmin looked at Kiseop with a slight shimmer of fear. “It is just water right? It can’t hurt anyone?” Guns weren’t something angels were supposed to hold. It was a toy, true, but it still made Kwangmin uneasy. He wasn’t going to let his emotions toy with him tonight though. Kiseop was his focus that night and they were going to play this game. A sudden pulse of adrenaline came over him. “I’m going to win this,” he muttered to himself as he aimed his gun.

Kiseop nodded at Kwangmin with a grin, “Of course! I can certainly do that for you.” The younger boy laughed and took a seat next to his friend after the worker got his pay and glanced over with a smile, all ready to go. He adjusted the gun and looked down the sight, lining it up with the small target he’s supposed to hit and held the trigger, waiting for the water to blast.

Kwangmin’s question threw Kiseop off a little though, he released hold of the gun and turned to look at the other male. “Oh no- that’s the fun of it. It’s just high powered water coming out of a toy gun- basically it’s like a squirt gun except we’re not aiming it at each other, instead we’re having a friendly competition for who can fill up their tube with water the fastest. You just hold the trigger and shoot at your target.” He shrugged, “It’s simple."

This game, being Kiseop’s all time favorite for carnivals and amusement parks, was something he knew quite a lot about. He always enjoys challenging his friends to this game because most the time he wins and offers his prizes to his friends. If, however, he doesn’t win he likes to play again until he does. It’s fun, he enjoys friendly competition every once and a while.

The younger male returned to his gun only a second before the bell went off to signal the start and fumbled around with the plastic thing. He got off to a sloppy start, having not been aimed and ready with the trigger pulled and all. Kiseop made a small ‘Agh’ accompanied with a grimace, knowing this would affect his success and did his best to get back in the game and fix his mistake.

He squinted down the sights and pulled the trigger, aiming straight at the target and quickly recovering. The damage had been done though, his initial start wasn’t helping him in the slightest and it seems the only way he would recover is if everyone were to mess up, that was unlikely though. He smiled and continued spraying water at his target, content with losing this round. There were two more anyways.

Bubbly Soap: First Date // Kiseop and Kwangmin

Kwangmin shook his head to clear his mind. “Ne! My brain was just over heating.” He laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. “You ready for this?! I’m excited.” Kwangmin was excited. Even through all of the nerves the excitement still bubbled just under the surface. “I got our tickets already. We just walk in like we own the place.” Kwangmin handed his friend his own ticket. A few seconds later they were walking hand in hand to the festival together. As they drew closer the music grew and the bright lights began to light up the sky. Kwangmin has seen festivals in both France and Korea but he was never able to go to any of them. Work kept him from most things. He never sought out happiness for himself until later on in life. “I hope I didn’t make you wait too long.” Kwangmin looked at Kiseop with a soft smile. “If it bothered you I will win something from every game at the festival.” Kwangmin laughed. He wasn’t good at things like winning prizes. His hands were meant for anatomy or for cooking. Games didn’t fit him well but Kiseop was his friend and it was a friendship he cared about so he would try if Kiseop wanted it.

Kiseop watched Kwangmin’s actions closely with a smile, silently appreciating what the other male was doing. “I don’t see how that could be, you’re so cool Kwangmin.” He laughed at his horrifyingly terrible joke despite it being somewhat true.

The younger male nodded with a grin and danced while moving forth, careful with his footing. “Ready? Of course I am! How could I not be?” After some time of being the goof he was he let out a sigh of relief and went back to normally walking after his random outburst of energy.

"…It’s been a really long time since I’ve been to anything like this, to be honest. I really should stop hiding in my home so much. I really like that idea though.“ He smiled and looked at the ticket, reading all the numbers and information printed and thanked him. "Going in as though we own the place, eh? Think we’ll turn heads like the people from the movies do?"

Enjoying the rest of the silence of the walk the two moved along the path leading up to the festival. The various laughs and voices made Kiseop a little unnerved, his anxiety growing greater with every glance. He squeezed Kwangmin’s hand and sighed, surveying their surroundings which mainly consisted of bodies, food, and entertainment. The bodies he could do without but Kiseop was really looking forward to trying some nostalgic festival food and enjoying the entertainment.

Kiseop looked at the taller male when he spoke and shook his head with a slight smile. "No, no. Don’t worry about it, I’m a very patient person, really. I didn’t mind waiting for you actually, it felt nice to just kick back and relax. I wouldn’t have any problems with watching you try to win something from these places though. I used to be the master of them when I was smaller and more flexible."

He wandered around for a while, dragging Kwangmin along, unsure of where to start. It was a small festival but there was a lot to do, ranging from lazily people watching all the way to tiring yourself out with a good climb up the rock wall. There were rides and vendors of sorts, souvenir shops and restrooms, even a lounge inside the building. So many bases to cover in such a little amount of time.

"Where would you like to start, Kwangmin? Can I challenge you to a water game?” He was ever so pleased to be spending time with his friend despite it not really even been very long. Just five minutes and the boy is grateful to have seen you.

[Please excuse this poor post, it’s 3 in the morning and in 3 hours I’ll be awake for a day. I’m sorry if none of this makes sense.]

pyrrhic-kwangmin:

Dates were a rare thing in Kwangmin’s life. The angel had only been on a couple during his life time and with him being centuries old that wasn’t a lot. Going on this date with Kiseop made him feel nervous. Nervousness from not knowing what to do more so than having a crush on the boy and being nervous. They were just two friends going together for the night.  What was there to be nervous about? “Failing. Embarrassing myself. Getting sick.” Kwangmin counted them off in his head as he continued to walk. Kiseop’s place was right around the corner and so was the festival being held. The night was cool and fresh, it would be a waste to ride two block to a festival and he figured Kiseop might enjoy the little adventure as well. As Kiseop’s door came into view, Kwangmin’s throat started to close up. By the time he had managed to knock and see Kiseop greet him with  smile no words could push past his lips into the air. The sentence came out like a strangled whine. ‘Great. Now he is going to  think I am weird.’ Kwangmin had complete drawn into himself, leaving poor Kiseop to look after him. Kwangmin was so withdrawn it took several seconds for him to hear Kiseop’s voice. “Huh?” The angel looked at him, confusion in his eyes.  What had the younger boy said?

Having set his alarm and gotten up later than usual to get as much energy stored as possible for the day ahead of him, Kiseop was buzzing around his house, humming and smiling, he couldn’t wait to see where the rest of today would take him. The ‘morning’ started off amazingly, no trouble waking up or going through the daily motions he was so accustomed to. If things stayed this way the rest of day would slip by smoothly without a problem at all, which was planned of course. Who would wish for otherwise?

For a while Kiseop was just relaxing in his living room chair, listening to the friendly sounds of the outdoors with a soft breeze drifting in through the windows every now and again to lift the hair from his face and drop it back down. He listened to the children outside playing and the near sounds of the festival, families laughing and enjoying what they have together, tourists marveling at the attractions with heavy cameras and huge lenses, the dogs barking and yipping as they competed together, all the while he was thinking about what was to come. With any luck- lots of fun and a joyous time. He was often having to remind himself to think positive as to avoid foreshadowing anything.

‘Everything’ll be fine, nothing will go wrong. You and Kwangmin will have a great time. Mistakes may happen but you can get over them Kiseop, you’re okay.

With every passing person the anxious male checked out his window to see if it was the friend he was waiting for and although it took some time he eventually saw who he was waiting on approaching. He stood up and let out a great sigh, shook his head, straightened his clothes out, and took one final drink of water. His nerves were waiting for this, waiting to get him at the right time and of course, they did. Kiseop waited for the knock, not wanting to seem too eager and let three seconds slip by afterwards before opening the door and greeting his friend.

Kwangmin looked uncomfortable and sort of worrying, just as Kiseop felt. Regardless he did his best to smile and push through, it was just the initial nerves that were a problem. After those faded everything would be perfectly fine. ’Breathe.’ Kiseop repeated in his head as a reminder. He took in every aspect of his friend from where he was standing, the way he was dressed, how he stood, his facial expression, and even his scent. With a step down onto the sidewalk and a calm tug he managed to make it out of his house with the door closed behind him and to Kwangmin.

“Lovely day, isn’t it~?” He sighed. “I feel that it’ll be even better when the stars start decide to show themselves.” His gaze drifted from his friend to the sidewalk and back with a troubled expression. “…Kwangmin? Are you feeling okay?”
